SIOUX CITY, Iowa — The U.S. Postal Service announced today that the agency will close Sioux City's Morningside and Northside Postal Stations at the close of business on Friday, September 16.

Post Office Box customers of the Northside and Morningside Stations will decide where they prefer to have their mail forwarded. Customers of both stations can open a new Post Office Box at the Sioux City Main Post Office or any other Postal facility that provides PO Box service.

Customers may also be able to forward mail to their physical address. However, customers should contact the Sioux City Post Office for installation and location instructions of their mailbox. Mail will be forwarded in accordance with postal regulations, and change of address forms are available from the Postal Service (at the Post Office or online at usps.com) to assist customers in notifying correspondents of the change.

Retail and delivery services will continue from the Sioux City Main Post Office, located at 214 Jackson St, while retail services are available at the Hy-Vee Stores located at 28th and Hamilton and 4500 Sergeant Road, or the Indian Hills Pharmacy at 1551 Indian Hills.

In addition there are many locations in the Sioux City Area to purchase stamps, including Walgreens, Sam's Club, bank ATM's, convenience stores, as well as many services at usps.com.
