A Sioux City man is among ten prisoners whom Governor Terry Branstad has denied commutation of sentence.
64 year old Darrell Bizzett is serving a life sentence for 1st degree murder in the beating death of a Nebraska veterinarian on the city's westside on September 1st of 1970.
Five other rejected applicants are serving life sentences for murder.
The others were convicted of robbery and kidnapping. They range in age from 40 to 71.
