SOUTH DAKOTA ESCAPEE CAPTURED IN SOUTH SIOUX CITY

South Sioux City Police have apprehended an inmate who failed to return to a minimum security prison in Sioux Falls on Monday.

30 year old Travis Thorngren was arrested Thursday in South Sioux City.

Thorngren had been serving a five-year sentence for grand theft when he failed to return to the minimum-security unit at the South Dakota State Penitentiary in Sioux Falls.

He is being held in the Dakota County Jail.
