Two Sioux City men have been convicted on child pornography charges in separate cases in federal court.

27 year old Chad Carver was convicted of one count of distribution of child pornography. Carver admitted using the internet between September, 2010 and
September of 2011 to distribute child pornography.

He agreed to be sentenced to at least 10 years' imprisonment and faces a possible maximum sentence of 20 years and a $250,000 fine.

In the other case, 47 year old Jeffrey Huygens was convicted of one count of
distribution of child pornography and one count of receipt of child pornography.

Huygens admitted that between September 2011 and December 2011, he used the Internet to distribute child pornography; and between 2002 and March 2012, used the Internet to receive child pornography.

He also admitted that, in 1990, in Island County, Washington, he was convicted
of Child Molestation in the First Degree.

Huygens faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years' imprisonment and a possible maximum sentence of 80 years with $500,000 in fines.
