A Sgt. Bluff, Iowa man has died from injuries sustained in a weekend traffic accident inĀ northeast Nebraska.
The Nebraska State Patrol identified the victim as 30-year-old Ray Quigley.
Investigators say Quigley was driving south on Nebraska Highway 9 just before 8 p.m. Friday night when his vehicle left the roadway near the Thurston Spur.
The patrol says Quigley overcorrected, and his car ran into a ditch on the east side of the highway and struck a tree.
Patrol Captain Paul Hattan says alcohol is believed to be a factor in the accident.
