Monday the Sioux City Community School District will begin hosting a traveling photo exhibit.

"Remembering Our Fallen" honors over 80 Iowans killed in the War on Terror. Each high school will host the exhibit for one week starting with East High School the week of January 28.

This tribute is especially meaningful to East High School because David Lee Rice, a 2001 East High School graduate, is the only Sioux City native killed in the War on Terror.

The District will host an opening ceremony for "Remembering Our Fallen" on Monday at 9:30 a.m. at East High School, 5011 Mayhew Ave.

During the ceremony, members from the Iowa 185th Air Refueling Wing will hold a flag folding ritual and a guest speaker will read words about David Lee Rice, written by David's mother Laurinda Finken.
