CITY BEGINS ONLINE NOTIFICATION TICKER

Sioux City has implemented a new notification system on the city's web site to provide citizens with information about emergency events when they happen around the town.

Public Works director Jade Dundas says the system was developed to notify citizens of water system problems:



The City also has used the system to notify the community of snow removal operations and to request voluntary off street parking.

The crawler is located at the top of the City's web site, www.sioux-city.org .
