Plymouth County authorities are investigating an armed robbery and a burglary that occurred in Le Mars Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning.
Wednesday around 1:00 p.m. a male suspect knocked on the door at 49 Oak Street, displayed a handgun and demanded money.
The victim gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash and he fled the area. The suspect is a white male in his early twenties who wore a white shirt with ripped jeans.
The burglary was discovered at 9:00 a.m. Thursday at the Le Mars Monterrey's Restaurant on Business Highway 75. An undisclosed amount of cash was taken. Similar burglaries were reported overnight in Cherokee.
