SIOUXLAND---We have been instructed by the State Incident Command that Dakota Dunes will be closed for all vehicles including residents from 1 PM to 7 PM.
This will allow trucks to make needed progress on the levee system. Traffic will be allowed to leave but you cannot get back in. Dunes residents and traffic will be directed to Exit 4 and Dakota Valley Schools (unless you have somewhere else to go).
At this time , Incident Command intends to let residents back in at 7 PM to continue your preparations.
This is mandatory and not negotiable.
SIOUX CITY---THE SOUTHBOUND I-29 RAMP AT THE HAMILTON BOULEVARD INTERCHANGE IS NOW CLOSED.
THE CLOSURE WILL ALLOW FOR A TEMPORARY CROSSOVER RAMP TO BE CONSTRUCTED FROM THE INTERSTATE TO THE WESLEY WAY INTERCHANGE TO PROVIDE ACCESS TO SIOUX CITY AND SOUTH SIOUX CITY.
WITH THE EXPECTED CLOSURE OF THE SOUTH HALF OF THE HAMILTON INTERCHANGE FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME DUE TO THE RECORD LEVELS ON THE MISSOURI, CONSTRUCTING THIS EXIT WILL ALLOW FOR ACCESS TO BE MAINTAINED INTO DOWNTOWN SIOUX CITY AND SOUTH SIOUX CITY.
THE IOWA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION WILL BE CONSTRUCTING THE ACCESS OVER THE NEXT FEW DAYS.
SIOUX CITY---THE ARGOSY CASINO IN SIOUX CITY WILL NOT BE CLOSING THEIR DOORS AS LONG AS THE MISSOURI RIVER ALLOWS.
MARKETING DIRECTOR EMMA ROONEY SAYS THEY ARE COMMUNICATING WITH LOCAL EMERGENCY TEAMS TO MAKE SURE PATRONS ARE SAFE.
SHE SAYS AS LONG AS THEY ARE, THEY WILL REMAIN OPEN. THE FLOYD EXIT TO THE ARGOSY REMAINS OPEN.
SIOUX CITY---LARSON PARK ROAD IN SIOUX CITY IS NOW CLOSED FROM HAMILTON TO THE ANDERSON DANCE PAVILLION.
ONLY TRAFFIC INTENDED FOR AREA BUSINESSES WILL BE ALLOWED ACCESS.
THE ENTRANCE TO LARSON PARK ROAD AT FLOYD WILL REMAIN OPEN ALLOWING ACCESS TO THE ARGOSY CASINO.
