Rail crossing repairs have shut down a section of Dace Avenue in Sioux City.
The equipment at the Union Pacific crossing on Dace Avenue between South Lafayette Street and Steuben Street has malfunctioned and is a safety hazard.
The city says repairs are expected to take until next Wednesday, May 30th.
A detour route utilizing Steuben Street, 4th Street, and Floyd Boulevard has been posted.
