IOWA POPULATION GROWTH SLOWER THAN NEIGHBORING STATES

Iowa’s population growth was the lowest in the tri-state area from July 2016 through July 2017.

Statistics from the U.S. Census Bureau show the state’s population grew by a half per cent over that time, slightly below the national average of 0.7 per cent.

South Dakota’s population increased by 0.9 percent and Nebraska’s population growth matched the national average of 0.7 percent.
