An escaped inmate who was serving a lifetime sex offender special supervision sentence has turned himself into authorities.
25-year-old Michael Euchner II was listed as an escapee from the state work release facility in Sioux City last Tuesday when he failed to return from his job.
The Iowa Corrections Department says Euchner turned himself in Thursday.
He had been transferred to work release on June 14th to begin his special supervision sentence following discharge of a 10-year sex abuse conviction in Ida County.
Euchner is now being held in the Woodbury County Jail on $20-thousand dollars bond.
