THE NEW SECURITY SCREENING PROCEDURES WERE IMPLEMENTED AT THE WOODBURY COUNTY COURTHOUSE FRIDAY MORNING.

ANYONE ENTERING THE COURTHOUSE MUST NOW PASS THROUGH A SCANNER AND ANY BRIEFCASE OR BAG IS PLACED THROUGH AN X-RAY MACHINE.

COURTHOUSE SECURITY DIRECTOR MARTY POTTEBAUM SAYS THERE WERE NO ISSUES WITH ANYONE ENTERING THE COURTHOUSE THROUGH THE MORNING:

OC…WHAT’S GOING ON. :17

POTTEBAUM SAYS THE PROCESS SHOULD TAKE LESS THAN 30 SECONDS TO GO THROUGH:

OC,…..THE OTHER END. :10

POTTEBAUM AND TWO PART TIME WORKERS WERE MANNING THE SCANNER THIS MORNING. HE SAYS TWO PEOPLE WILL LIKELY MAN THE POST IN DAYS TO COME.

THE UNION REPRESENTING WOODBURY COUNTY DEPUTIES WILL LIKELY FILE A GRIEVANCE OVER COUNTY HIRED EMPLOYEES PROVIDING SECURITY AT THE COURTHOUSE:

POTTEBAUM UNDERSTANDS WHY THAT MAY HAPPEN:

OC……FOR THIS JOB. :16

A SPOKESPERSON FOR THE DEPUTIES UNION SAYS THAT GRIEVANCE WAS BEING PREPARED, BUT IT COULD BE NEXT WEEK BEFORE IT WAS FILED.
