SIOUX CITY POLICE HAVE RELEASED THE NAME OF THE MAN WHO WAS INJURED WEDNESDAY MORNING AFTER HIS MOTORCYCLE CRASHED ON INTERSTATE 29 COMING OFF THE HIGHWAY 20 INTERCHANGE.

POLICE SAY 60 YEAR OLD STEVE HOUGH OF SGT. BLUFF WAS TAKEN TO MERCY MEDICAL CENTER AFTER HE PUT HIS MOTORCYCLE DOWN TO AVOID STRIKING TRAFFIC AHEAD OF HIM THAT HAD SLOWED BECAUSE OF HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION.

AUTHORITIES SAY HOUGH WAS ENTERING THE NORTHBOUND LANE OF I-29 AT THE SPEED LIMIT WHEN TRAFFIC SLOWED AND HE HAD TO SWERVE.

HOUGH WAS WEARING A HELMET AND WAS TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL WITH WHAT WAS DESCRIBED WEDNESDAY AS CRITICAL INJURIES.

HIS CURRENT CONDITION IS NOT BEING RELEASED AT THIS TIME.
