SIOUX CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT SENDS AID TO PILGER

The Sioux City school district is donating excess desks, tables and shelving units to help out the Pilger, Nebraska school district whose middle school was destroyed by a tornado .

Sioux City Superindentent Dr. Paul Gausman says the furniture will be delivered Monday to a makeshift middle school on the grounds of an elementary school at nearby Wisner, Nebraska.

Gausman says he began his teaching career in Pilger as a band director.
