The Plymouth County Fair is well underway in LeMars with a new King and Queen crowned lastnight.
Lane Marienal of Brunsville and Cali Westergard of Akron make up this year’s fair royalty.
Rich Benson of Remsen, Vice President of the Plymouth County Fair, says it takes many volunteers to make the fair a success.
Benson says the Plymouth County Fair is fortunate to be able to attract visitors, not only from neighboring counties, but from neighboring states.
Westergard had the weight of tradition on her shoulders as she is the youngest of four sisters to bear the crown. The newly crowned king says he will pursue his agri-business goals at South Dakota State University.
