PLANS ARE PROGRESSING TO IMPLEMENT NEW SECURITY MEASURES AT THE WOODBURY COUNTY COURTHOUSE.

THOSE PLANS INCLUDE CLOSING THE WEST ENTRANCE ON DOUGLAS STREET AND HAVING A SECURITY CHECKPOINT AT THE NORTH DOORS ON 7TH STREET.

A NEW WHEELCHAIR LIFT AND RAMP WILL BE INSTALLED AT A COST OF AROUND $28-THOUSAND DOLLARS.

THE COUNTY ALSO RECEIVED 5 BIDS FOR A NEW CAMERA SECURITY SYSTEM TO MONITOR THE COURTHOUSE.

THE BIDS RANGED FROM $8300 TO $20 THOUSAND DOLLARS.

COUNTY HUMAN RESOURCES DIRECTOR ED GILLILAND SAYS THE COURTHOUSE WILL HAVE A STATE OF THE ART SYSTEM:
