THE GROUNDS AROUND SIOUX CITY’S WEST HIGH SCHOOL WILL BECOME GREENER BEGINNING FRIDAY.

WEST HIGH STUDENTS WILL PLANT 52 TREES AROUND THE SCHOOL THANKS TO A $7,000 GRANT FROM TREES FOR KIDS AND TREES FOR TEENS.

WEST HIGH SCHOOL APPLIED FOR THE GRANT IN ORDER TO REPLACE ASH TREES IN DANGER FROM THE EMERALD ASH BORER.

THE STUDENTS PLAN ON CREATING AN ORCHARD OF FRUIT TREES TO BENEFIT CULINARY CLASSES TAUGHT AT THE SCHOOL.
