THE PLYMOUTH COUNTY SHERIFF HAS RELEASED THE NAME OF A MOTORCYCLIST WHO WAS SERIOUSLY INJURED SATURDAY AFTERNOON NEAR HINTON.

AUTHORITIES SAY 45 YEAR OLD MARK MACFARLANE OF JEFFERSON, SOUTH DAKOTA APPARENTLY LOST CONTROL OF HIS MOTORCYCLE
WHILE DRIVING NORTHBOUND ON HIGHWAY 75 NEAR ORBIT DRIVE.

THE SHERIFF SAYS MACFARLANE’S MOTORCYCLE ENTERED THE MEDIAN AND ROLLED SEVERAL TIMES, THROWING HIM FROM THE BIKE.

MACFARLANE WAS NOT WEARING A HELMET AND WAS TAKEN TO MERCY MEDICAL CENTER WHERE HIS CONDITION IS NOT BEING RELEASED.

INVESTIGATORS SAY WIND GUSTS OF 4O MILES AN HOUR MAY HAVE CONTRIBUTED TO THE ACCIDENT AND THAT ALCOHOL IS ALSO BELIEVED TO BE A FACTOR.

THAT ACCIDENT OCCURRED AROUND 4;25PM SATURDAY.
