WOODBURY COUNTY APPROVES LONG RANGE PLAN

Woodbury County has approved an agreement with McClure Engineering of Clive, Iowa to prepare a Capital Reinvestment Program and Master Plan along the Interstate 29 corridor in the county.

The plan encompasses the area along I-29 from the city of Salix, north to Sioux City and Sergeant Bluff and from the Missouri River east to the Union Pacific railroad, east of I-29.

Terry Lutz of McClure says his company will create a plan over the next several months to provide County officials the tools to attract and retain business and jobs to the area.

The plan will be studying land use, roadways, water, sanitary sewer, storm water, electric, gas, and telecommunication services.

County Supervisors voted 5-0 Tuesday to spend around $62-thousand dollars on a contract with McClure Engineering to develop the plan.
