A MAN WANTED FOR WALKING AWAY FROM A YANKTON CORRECTIONAL FACILITY OVER A YEAR AGO IS IN CUSTODY IN STORM LAKE.

54 YEAR OLD DAVID MICHAEL LEE OF MINNEAPOLIS WAS ARRESTED FRIDAY AFTERNOON BY STORM LAKE POLICE.

POLICE SAY THEY SPOTTED AN SUV AT AN APARTMENT COMPLEX THAT HAD BEEN REPORTED AS STOLEN FROM A HERMANTOWN , MINNESOTA DEALERSHIP.

THE SUSPECT FLED FROM AN APARTMENT ON FOOT AND WAS APPREHENDED AFTER OFFICERS FOUND HIM HIDING UNDER A MATTRESS IN A NEARBY GARAGE.

LEE WAS CHARGED WITH POSSESSION OF STOLEN PROPERTY, INTERFERENCE WITH OFFICIAL ACTS AND PUBLIC INTOXICATION.

LEE WAS ALSO WANTED IN SOUTH DAKOTA FOR PAROLE VIOLATION AND FORGERY.

HE IS BEING HELD IN THE BUENA VISTA COUNTY JAIL PENDING EXTRADITION TO SOUTH DAKOTA.
