WOODBURY COUNTY SUPERVISORS HAVE OFFICIALLY SET TUESDAY, MARCH 11TH FOR THE PUBLIC HEARING ON THEIR BUDGET FOR THE NEXT FISCAL YEAR.

THE BUDGET FORWARDED ON TUESDAY WILL RESULT IN AN INCREASE IN PROPERTY TAXES ON A $100,000 HOME OF $36.70.

THE TAX RATE IS THE SAME FOR BOTH RURAL AND CITY PROPERTIES.

SUPERVISORS VOTED 4-1 TO ADVANCE THE BUDGET RECOMMENDATION, WITH DAVID TRIPP VOTING NO.

JAMES VAN BRUGGEN OF THE TAXPAYERS RESEARCH COUNCIL SAYS THERE’S STILL SOME COUNTY BUDGET MATTERS THAT NEED TO BE RESOLVED:
