SIOUX CITY POLICE SAY THEY HAVE TWO SUSPECTS IN CUSTODY FOLLOWING A STABBING AT A GROCERY STORE EARLY TUESDAY AFTERNOON.

THE INCIDENT HAPPENED AT THE SAVE-A-LOT FOOD STORE AT 18TH AND PIERCE AROUND 12:15PM.

27 YEAR OLD CORDERRO CARRIDINE SIMPSON IS CHARGED WITH 1ST DEGREE ROBBERY AND IS BEING HELD ON $25-THOUSAND BOND.

31 YEAR OLD BOBBI LEE ELVA MEDINA HAS BEEN CHARGED WITH 2ND DEGREE ROBBERY AND HELD ON $5-THOUSAND BOND.

POLICE SAY THE SUSPECTS WERE TRYING TO STEAL BEER FROM THE STORE WHEN THEY WERE CONFRONTED BY A STORE EMPLOYEE.

INVESTIGATORS ALLEGE SIMPSON PULLED A KNIFE AND STABBED THE CLERK TWICE IN THE ARM. THE PAIR THEN FLED ON FOOT FROM THE STORE.

THE VICTIM’S INJURY WAS NOT LIFE THREATENING AND HE WAS TRANSPORTED TO MERCY MEDICAL CENTER.
