PENN GAMING IS APPARENTLY ALREADY TALKING WITH ANOTHER NON PROFIT GROUP THAT COULD POTENTIALLY REPLACE MRHD AS THE LICENSE HOLDER FOR A LAND BASED CASINO IN WOODBURY COUNTY.

PENN HAS ASKED THE IOWA RACING AND GAMING COMMISSION
TO LET IT ESTABLISH AN OPERATING AGREEMENT WITH A NEW GROUP, BECAUSE MRHD IS SUING PENN IN THEIR DISPUTE OVER A  NEW OPERATING AGREEMENT.

KAREN BAILEY OF PENN SAYS HER COMPANY WILL LIKELY SUBMIT AN APPLICATION TO OPERATE THE NEW LAND BASED CASINO:

MRHD PRESIDENT MARK MONSON SAYS HE EXPECTS THE TWO GROUPS TO WORK TOGETHER TO KEEP THE CASINO BOAT OPEN, BUT SAYS MRHD WILL ALSO LOOK AT OTHER COMPANIES TO OPERATE A DOWNTOWN BASED CASINO:

ANOTHER PENN EXECUTIVE TOLD STATE REGULATORS AT THEIR MEETING THAT WITHOUT DISMISSAL OF THE LAWSUIT BY MRHD THAT THE TWO CAN’T HAVE A PARTNERSHIP AND KEEP OPERATING THE SIOUX CITY RIVERBOAT CASINO.

MRHD’S  BOARD OF DIRECTORS HAS SCHEDULED A CLOSED SESSION TO MEET NEXT MONDAY EVENING IN SIOUX CITY.
