A LONGTIME, WELL KNOWN MEMBER OF THE SIOUXLAND NEWS MEDIA HAS PASSED AWAY.  HENRY TRYSLA DIED SUNDAY AT AGE 81.

TRYSLA BECAME EDITOR OF THE SOUTH SIOUX CITY STAR NEWSPAPER IN 1952. HE SPENT OVER 50 YEARS COVERING EVENTS IN NORTHEAST NEBRASKA.

TRYSLA ALSO REPORTED SOUTH SIOUX CITY NEWS ON LOCAL RADIO STATIONS FOR MANY YEARS, DOING A PHONE IN REPORT EACH WEEKDAY DURING THE NOON HOUR.

TRYSLA ALSO SERVED AS PRESIDENT OF THE SOUTH SIOUX CITY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND WAS INVOLVED IN SEVERAL OTHER COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS.
