Siouxland donors helped the Salvation Army of Siouxland exceed their Red Kettle campaign goal for this past Christmas season.
Donations totalled $189,148, exceeding the campaign goal of $178,500 by 6%. The campaign began on November 11th and ended on Friday, January 6th.
Captain Von R. Vandiver, the Commanding Officer of Siouxland’s Salvation Army says the weather helped – the first time in many years they did not lose any days at the kettles due to snow or below zero temperatures.
He says the generous people of Siouxland did not forget those in need as they made preparations to celebrate Christmas and the holidays.
