THE SIOUX CITY EXPLORERS WILL HAVE A NEW LOOK AND MORE COMPETITION FOR THE 2012 SEASON AT LEWIS AND CLARK PARK.

NEXT SUMMER MARKS THE TEAM’S 20TH ANNIVERSARY IN SIOUX CITY, AND THE CLUB’S LOGO WILL REFLECT THAT WITH TWO ROMAN NUMERAL X’S SYMBOLIZING THE 20 YEARS, WITH THE TRADITIONAL SIOUX CITY X’S BASEBALL LOGO OVER THEM.

THE X’S WILL PLAY A 100 GAME SEASON WITH THIRTEEN TEAMS IN THREE DIVISIONS MAKING UP THE AMERICAN ASSOCIATION.

THREE DIVISION WINNERS AND A WILD CARD TEAM WILL MAKE THE PLAYOFFS.

THE X’S WILL PLAY IN THE CENTRAL DIVISION WITH KANSAS CITY, LINCOLN, WICHITA AND GARY-SOUTHSHORE .

THERE WILL ALSO BE INTER-LEAGUE PLAY AGAINST THE CAN-AM INDEPENDENT LEAGUE.
