SIOUXLAND—A FEDERAL/STATE DISASTER RECOVERY CENTER FOR THOSE AFFECTED BY THIS YEAR’S FLOOD WILL OPEN IN NORTH SIOUX WEDNESDAY.

FEMA’S SOUTH DAKOTA OPERATION HEAD MARK NEVEAU SAYS FOLKS NEED TO REGISTER WITH FEMA BY CALLING 1-800-621-FEMA.

AFTER THAT, HE SAYS VICTIMS NEED TO GO TO THE RECOVERY CENTER TO MEET WITH PEOPLE WHO CAN HELP FILL OUT LOAN APPLICATIONS, CHECK YOUR CASE STATUS AND INFORM YOU OF OTHER AVAILABLE AID.

THE DISASTER RECOVERY CENTER WILL BE AT 1246 RIVER ROAD, RIGHT NEXT TO TACO JOHN’S IN THE NORTH SIOUX STRIP MALL.

HOURS WILL BE FROM 8 A.M. TO 7 P.M. THROUGH FRIDAY OF THIS WEEK AND BEGINNING TUESDAY, THE HOURS WILL BE 10 A.M. TO 7 P.M. MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY AND 9 TO 2 ON SATURDAYS.

THE CENTER WILL BE CLOSED THIS SATURDAY, SUNDAY AND MONDAY FOR LABOR DAY.
