SIOUX CITY, IA – The Sioux City Explorers announced today that they will once again step up to the plate to assist members of the community that have been impacted and devastated by the major flooding that has occurred in the Siouxland Community.

X’s players, coaches, and staff members have spent countless hours sandbagging and assisting members of the community during these troubling times and The Sioux City Explorers will once again be going to bat for the community by contributing $1 to the RIV-R-LAND Estates Relief fund for each game ticket sold for the Monday, July 4th home game between the X’s and the Fargo-Moorhead Red Hawks.  Game time for July 4th will be 7:05 PM with a post game FIREWORKS DISPLAY to follow the game!

Our organization has always taken great pride in being able to give back and assist organizations and members of our community that have supported us for the last 19 seasons, and this is merely another great way we feel we can give back to members of our community, commented X’s General Manager Shane Tritz”.

The Sioux City Explorers will be at home this holiday weekend for a (4) game home stand versus the Fargo-Moorhead Redhawks starting Saturday, July 2nd with the series finale taking place on Tuesday, July 5th.  There will be a post game fireworks display following the Sunday, July 3rd and Monday July 4th game.  Game time is set for 7:05 PM all four nights.
